The story and details
The story: From Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (c. 1831). Hokusai looks under the bridge rather than at it, so its timber arch becomes a frame for the distant mountain — the kind of composition that astonished European painters when these prints reached Paris.
Details: Glossy black ceramic · 11 oz or 15 oz · the picture printed on both sides with the artist’s name beneath · dishwasher-safe (top rack) and microwave-safe · lead- and BPA-free.
