The story and details
The story: Crane, pine and sunrise make the classic New Year wish for long life and a good beginning, and pictures like this were given and hung at the turning of the year. Hokusai keeps it light: a few lines for the birds, soft grey needles, one disc of red.
Details: Glossy black ceramic · 11 oz or 15 oz · the picture printed on both sides with the artist’s name beneath · dishwasher-safe (top rack) and microwave-safe · lead- and BPA-free.
