The story and details

The story: The Great Wave (c. 1831) is the most famous image in Japanese art, and part of its power is how inevitable it feels: the claw of foam, the tiny boats, Fuji small and still in the hollow. This design lays the golden-ratio spiral and rectangles over the print, so you can trace that geometry for yourself — whether Hokusai planned it or simply had the eye for it. Printed to order on heavyweight cotton.

Details: 100% cotton · 300 gsm heavyweight · relaxed drop-shoulder fit · crew neck · the print and its title in Japanese and English on the front; a short English text about the work on the back.

Care: Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle; do not bleach; tumble dry low; iron at low temperature, avoiding the print; do not dry clean.
