The story and details
The story: Painted in September 1888, a few weeks after the café terrace and nine months before The Starry Night. Van Gogh set up by the Rhône after dark; a couple strolls along the bank in the foreground. It is the calmer of his two starry nights — the one that simply looks, rather than swirls.
Details: Glossy white ceramic · 11 oz · the picture printed on both sides with the artist’s name beneath · dishwasher- and microwave-safe · lead- and BPA-free.
