The story and details

The story: Hanami, blossom-viewing, was one of the great shared rituals of the Edo year, and Utamaro’s prints of it were loved as much for their fashion as for their scenery. In 1891 the French writer Edmond de Goncourt devoted a whole book to him — the moment Paris fully fell for his women. This hoodie carries the print large across the back, with Utamaro’s name in script on the front, in black or navy, printed to order for you.

Details: 53% polyester, 42% cotton, 5% other fibres · 345 gsm, fleece-lined · oversized boxy fit · the print on the back, Utamaro’s name in script on the front.

Care: Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle; do not bleach; tumble dry low; iron at low temperature, avoiding the print; do not dry clean.
